Renowned jazz historian and author, Kahn wrote acclaimed books on John Coltrane and Impulse! Records. In a previous life, he worked as tour manager for Paul Simon, joining him on his legendary Graceland tour. In his latest book Days of miracle and wonder – Paul Simon and the Trials and Triumphs of Graceland (White Rabbit), Kahn explores the story and international context of Graceland (1986). Kahn launches his book in Ghent for Belgium. Paard van Troje will be present with a relevant selection of titles and the author will sign. Not to be missed. In the new series Re:Context!, dedicated to the societal power of music and music as art form. Double bass player and former City of Ghent city composer Lara Rosseel will grace the evening with live improvised music.
