Vinyls
These vinyls and cd’s are currently into heavy rotation at Tchong’s/Ha.
I don’t link to Spotify anymore, for obvious reasons – please read Liz Pelly’s Mood Machine: The Rise of Spotify and the Costs of the Perfect Playlist. Please support your local musicians, scene, and indie vinyl store. Selection came to me after appreciated and tasty concerts/showcases, via Belgian cratediggers and colleagues, and directly via the musicians ofcourse. Disclaimer: this is a lot of new stuff but also some years old. I like the human ‘randomness’ of this selection, I like to listen with my hands instead of just ‘tiptoeing through the inferno’* – and I don’t believe in the dichotomy past versus future. I don’t claim completeness and I don’t pledge to any jazz or improvised music orthodox hezbollahs, since those are mostly heading for the museum. If you need more inspiration, please check out the wonderful indie bookstore Paard van Troje, just across the street of Ha Concerts.
